Connections:

The DC-800 Adapter has RCA connections for audio input and output. There is one USB connection to power supply, the adapter does not have internal battery.

A compliant Bluetooth enabled music player (like a cell phone) can stream music through the stereo system using the AUDIO IN connection.

The stereo system (any RCA stereo sound source) can stream music to a set of compliant Bluetooth enabled headphones (like Motorola S9 or HT-820) using the AUDIO OUT connection.

Figure 5: DC-800 Connections

Paring:

For paring testing was used a Motorola Bluetooth S9 headphone to audio output and one Nokia N95 to audio input. The paring process is very simple with the S9 headphone, just put the S9 in paring mode pressing the on/off button until the indicator led blink blue, then press the frontal “M” button in DC-800 until the light still on, the device will search for bluetooth devices and blink the light in success paring.

In the Nokia N95 paring, first put the DC-800 in paring mode pressing the “M” button until the led still on, then in N95 phone start the search process, when DC-800 is founded a password will ask, just digit the factory password “0000″ and finish the process.

Audio Quality:

In my tests I was glad with the quality of audio and with the transmission. In future I will test with another devices and post the comments.

PROS:

Eight device Bluetooth pairing memory.

Bi-Directional A2DP compliance.

Simple to pair with Bluetooth enabled headphones.

Good audio quality.

CONS:

The device doesn’t have a internal battery working only plugged in A/C.

Unable to pair an inbound audio stream that does not have a keyboard and the factory bluetooth password isn’t “0000″.

The device dimensions are big, I thought he was smaller, the pictures on Internet gave no idea of the real size.
